GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) are rolling out their new trains on the Northern City Line out of Moorgate (replacing 40 year old units) and invited me along on a test trip.

It also tied with my own milestone as they were kind enough to notice that I was about to hit 100,000 subscribers, so they had a fun surprise for me HUGE THANKS to Roger, Alice and Matt from GTR.

Note: The old 40 year old Class 313's are still on the network, down on the south coast with Southern.

Also note: Class 717 units are now running passenger test trips, you might find yourself catching one if you pop along ...
