The Old IRA enjoyed much of what would make for a successful guerrilla campaign, not only in terms of military victory but forcing negotiations. Overwhelming civilian support, or at least noninterference from the local population, ensured that supplies would help keep the flying columns supplied with whatever they needed. This videos focuses on the Irish War of Independence, and keeping the names of the various flying columns alive.
