In this video, a GuyaneseVenezuelan woman who is living in impoverished conditions shares her struggles living at the Parika Sea Dam, East Bank Essequibo. She remigrated to Guyana in 2019 with her Venezuelan husband, daughter and son. They are among the 25,000 people who have fled Venezuela to escape the social and economic crisis. Her husband, a mason, and her son are working and she would do domestic work sometimes. Her daughter does not work because she cannot speak English that well and because she has a oneyearold son. Her husband has a disability, where one leg is longer than other, after suffering an accident. But he does not let it bother him and adjusts the bottom of the for the shorter leg so he can walk straight. The family was paying a rent of $20,000 for small onebedroom house but moved because they would not afford it. They got some free boards from the sawmill and built their own house on the Parika Sea Dam. But that is not the condition they want to live in and badly wants to move.
