Mythologically, To halt the invasion, the Jade emperor, ordered a dragon that emitted jade/jewels which turned into marvelous islands and karst formations upon hitting the sea further creating a natural fortress against enemies. To this day, locals believe that they have spotted the shape of a dragonlike creature in the waters.
