On Wednesday 16 May, 2018 we rang a half muffled Quarter Peal before the 1:10pm lunchtime Mass.
We were ringing in memory of Archbishop Emeritus Leonard Faulkner of Adelaide. He was Archbishop of Adelaide when the previous ring of bells from this tower were installed in St Francis Xavier Cathedral in 1996. His funeral was at St Francis Xavier Cathedral two days earlier.
We were also ringing in memory of one of the ringers from Adelaide who sadly passed away the previous afternoon. Anne Haskard was a life member of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Bellringers, and a good friend to many Sydney ringers.
