Halifax International Airport (YHZ, also known as the Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport is located approximately 35 km, or 22 miles from the city of Halifax, and is a large international airport serving the Nova Scotia province of Canada and neighbouring Maritime provinces.
The airport is named in honour of Robert Stanfield, the 17th Premier of Nova Scotia and leader of the federal Progressive Conservative Party of Canada
