I started stitching this Green Carpet moth (Colostygia pectinataria) with some vintage flannel that had previously been painted green. Adding the beautiful markings in green, black and white stranded cotton brought this little beauty almost to life. It's the second in a series of embroidered moths that I will be stitching over the next few weeks.
