Discussing Lessons Learned with the Harbor Freight Parts Washer. I made some mistakes and they were expensive. Maybe this can help you avoid them. Specialty Parts were:

https://amzn.to/38SfwWK Legris 0101 10 71 Adaptor, 10 mm Tube OD x M14x1.5 Male Metric Thread BE CAREFUL WITH THIS LINK BECAUSE SOMETIMES AMAZON LINKS TO THE WRONG SIZE IF THEY ARE OUT OF THE M14 SIZE!!!!!!
https://amzn.to/315Orwc SharkBite 1/2 in. Brass PEX Barb x 1/2 in. Female Pipe Thread Adapter 90Degree DropEar Elbow
https://amzn.to/2SzIp3m FlowThrough Brush. This is so handy if you are dealing with filthy parts like transmissions
https://amzn.to/3hrvLz8 This valve was recommended by a viewer as a different type of drain valve for the bottom. Allows you to port the drain to the side!

I am using a basic oil filter since I have a petroleumbased solvent. If you choose to use a waterborne solvent then be sure to purchase a coolant filter instead which won't turn to mush in water. The one recommended to me was a WF116 coolant filter https://amzn.to/3ST2UqI

* I get a small $$ referral if you purchase from these links. Regardless, these are the products I bought myself so I stand behind the recommendations.
