Project Mammoth is a new 200+ Mile route with over 32,000ft of climbing located in the Eastern Sierra created by Pro Trail Runner Tim Tollefson. When Tim shared his dream with Sally, she saw it as an opportunity to tell his story and to explore an untouched course in one of her favorite places on the planet. Unlike a race, Sally is learning that putting a team together who will arrive just 2 days before the attempt will come with massive challenges. Topo maps are great for navigating but knowing the ins and outs of changing terrain, environments; and where crew can access her is vital. There's no aid stations, no markers, no volunteers, but there is great opportunity to create something beautiful if the planning is done right.
