Der allseits bekannte ÖchsleLokführer Thomas Guter hat auch ein Faible für die Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB) und diese lieferten ihm das Thema für seine außergewöhnliche Gartenbahn.
Der Gartenbahnprofi titelte dazu in der Ausgabe 4/2014 „Der lange Weg nach oben“. Über fünf Kehren, dabei max. 2,5% Steigung erklimmend, winden sich die Züge vom Bahnhof Eisfelder Talmühle nach Bahnhof Brockenhausen auf einer Länge von 56m empor. Markante Viadukte, Tunnels und Brücken bilden eine hervorragende Kulisse. Optisch und akustisch ein Leckerbissen, diesem Treiben zusehen zu dürfen.
Im besagten Gartenbahnprofi 4/2014 gibt es zu dieser Anlage eine sehr schöne Beschreibung inclusive Gleisplan. Im MIBASonderheft Gartenbahnen 1/2020 wurde die Anlage als „Serpentinenbahn“ betitelt. Auch hier sehr viele Infos inclusive Gleisplan.
Ob Großserien, Kleinserien oder Eigenbaumodell, über die Jahre ist der Fuhrpark ständig gewachsen. Um die Fahrzeuge bequem auf die Anlage fahren zu können, steht seit geraumer Zeit im Keller ein Paternoster von Modellbau Kesselbauer, welcher den Zuggarnituren eine sichere Abstellmöglichkeit bietet.
Anläßlich eines Harzbahntages im Sommer 2023 entstanden diese Filmaufnahmen.
Harz Railway Day in Upper Swabia 2023
The wellknown Öchsle train driver Thomas Guter also has a soft spot for the Harz narrowgauge railways (HSB) and these also provided him with the theme for his extraordinary garden railway.
The garden railway professional headlined “The long way to the top” in issue 4/2014. The trains wind their way from Eisfelder Talmühle station to Brockenhausen station over a length of 56m over five sweep loops, with a maximum gradient of 2.5%. Striking viaducts, tunnels and bridges form an excellent backdrop. Visually and acoustically it's a treat to be able to watch this going on.
In the aforementioned Gartenbahnprofi 4/2014 there is a very nice description of this system including a track plan. In the MIBA special issue Garden Railways 1/2020, the system was called a “serpentine railway”. Here too there is a lot of information including a track plan.
Whether large series, small series or selfmade model, the fleet has grown constantly over the years. In order to be able to drive the vehicles comfortably onto the facility, there has been a paternoster from Modellbau Kesselbauer in the basement for some time, which offers the train sets a safe place to park them.
