Flew to Maui for the first time ever on Hawaiian Airlines from Los Angeles after a overnight stay. Good flight overall but rough on arrival. Maui is a excellent place with fine beaches, rainforests, & small towns with big city amenities. LAX isn't one of the best airports in the world & has a lot of traffic congestion. After take off, another plane was taken off at the same time. The islands of Catalina & St Nicolas can be seen in the distance. The only US airliner that serves free meals and I had the ham & cheese sandwich, fruits & cookie. Second was mostly consist of maui onion potato chip. After takeoff & landing one of the attendants acted as a inflight tour guide as well as encouraging passengers to be calm when it was rough on approach.
