The Hawker Typhoon was the heavy weight attack aircraft of World War Two.
Heavy at 6 .5 tons with a massive hitting power which included armament options selected were either configured with 12 x 0.303 machine guns on the Typhoon IA, or 4 x 20mm Hispano cannons on the Typhoon IB.
The Hawker Typhoon performed admirably as it could carry 2 x 1,000lb bombs or 8 x 3inch rockets with 60lb of warheads, carried underwing in addition to the 4 x 20mm cannon.
With a speed of over 400 mph and a 500 mile plus range and a massive Sabre 24 cylinder engine producing over 2,000 hp.
