Just a quick video of forging a knife design that I have had on my mind, using the gas forge. Nothing fancy, no captions or anything, other than a little tune at the end. Just decompressing from a day of running the rat race.
If it looks like I don't know what I'm doing, its because I don't. I was trying to figure this handle out. Its not my favorite so far, but we'll see how it turns out. Still have to grind and heat treat.
Not sure if anyone reads these descriptions, but if you're a beginner, I recommend recording yourself when you're forging.
Even if you don't post videos, it allows you to see where you need improvement. I usually have several "I should have done it like this.." moments when I'm editing. For instance, if I would have isolated my heat better my scroll would not have kept opening back up. Live and learn. Hey at least I got that wobble out of my big anvil! ;)
