Named after a trout stream in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Hazel Creek Dry Fly is a pretty old pattern that not many people today are familiar with. (At least outside of the GSMNP.) But if you like trying some oldschool, semiforgotten flies, give this one a shot. It can be as effective today as it was way back when.
Hook: Dry #1014

Savage Flies is a project with the mission of encouraging and teaching fly tying to as many people as possible. The channel is named after one of my western Maryland homewaters, the Savage River. I've been uploading at least three new videos a week (usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
