(HD) Watching Airplanes - Snow Storm - Minneapolis / St. Paul International Airport KMSP / MSP

It's cold, it's wet and it's WHITE outside. Heavy snow. Welcome to MSP in near blizzard conditions. The snow starts gently at first and gets worse as the video goes on.

There are some airports that handle this kind of weather well... Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport is one of them. Being no stranger to snow myself, having lived in Chicago most of my life, I have a fondness for snow and thoroughly enjoyed running around Terminal 1 Lindbergh taking in the action.

These are the aircraft brave enough to venture into the whiteness, the airport running on a somewhat slower schedule, but a schedule no less, in 3/4 mile to nil visibility.

Watching it all unfold and seeing the cancellations start to come in due mostly to lack of airplanes for later flights... the visibility was below landing minimums in many cases but not below takeoff minimums so planes took off but not many more arrived. I couldn't barely see the runways from the terminals, however, so I didn't really get any good shots of takeoffs or landings that took place.

Enjoy the snow from inside the terminals in this snowflake filled picture.
