How long has it been? checks calendar 4 MONTHS?!?! It's been a WHILE indeed!

Let's have a look at how far along the HDR pipeline, one of the features being actively(ish) developed for FlightGear, is in 2023! It's poised to add some muchneeded modernization to FlightGear's rendering, and it mostly works for terrain. however, work is still needed to bring the ancient GUI to modern OpenGL and make sure the planes work!
