Jeff Chandler (1918–1961) was an American actor known for his rugged, masculine presence and distinctive, prematurely gray hair. He rose to fame in the 1950s, particularly in Westerns and war films. Chandler's breakout role came in "Broken Arrow" (1950), where he portrayed Cochise, earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He became a popular leading man, starring in films such as "Foxfire" (1955) and "Away All Boats" (1956). Beyond acting, Chandler was also a talented singer and often performed on radio and in nightclubs. He passed away at the age of 42 after complications from surgery.
