Alcoholism is a common factor in families where the children develop CPTSD; it also appears to have a strong hereditary component. MANY traumatized people are heavy drinkers, use alcohol to "selfmedicate" or are unable to stop drinking. The result is that it's almost impossible to heal from the original trauma wounds. In this video I respond to a letter from a man who drove away all his friends, started his life anew, and is driving friends away once again. He suspects his drinking is ruining his emotional state. Hear my advice for stopping the problem and changing his life.
