When the doctor's did my blood work it came up that I was anemic. Because they want to get these procedures started right away they decided to give me heme iron through an IV so it could help build up my blood quicker as opposed to just taking vitamins. 5 total iron infusions were needed. They were given every other day (excluding weekends). This is my journey through that experience.
