How to make soft red velvet cookies with a heart chocolate center.

Ingredients:
2 ½ Cups All Purpose Flour (340g)
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder (10g)
¼ Teaspoon Salt (1.5g)
¼ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (20g)
¾ Cup Butter, Softened (168g)
1 ¼ Cups Powdered Sugar (150g)
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract (10ml)
12 Teaspoons Red Food Coloring
¾ Cup Heavy Whipping Cream (180ml)
2 Dozen Heart Shaped Chocolates

Directions:

1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat with an electric mixer the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and food coloring beating just until combined. Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with the heavy cream. Let the dough stand 10 minutes at room temperature if too soft.
2. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball. Place the dough balls on a parchment lined baking sheet while spacing them about 1.5 inches apart. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 15 minutes, rotating the sheets halfway through baking. Immediately remove to a wire rack and press a chocolate to the center of each cookie; let cool completely.
