Heavy Rains in Southern California leads to massive amounts of runoff. The Doheny Beach runoff rarely reaches the ocean but when it does it is nasty! The amount of debris and pollutants in the runoff pose a serious threat to beach goers and people entering the ocean. It is recommended that people stay out of the ocean days after a heavy rain event like this one. It is likely that the ocean will be brown for at least two more days.
