Helen Reddy at the Troubadour [February 1972]

Follow
ReddyObscura

Contains a live performance of Helen Reddy and a rather cheesy but historically interesting montage of lovers kissing to songs written by Van Morrison and Donovan, but sung by the one and only Reddy.

"Helen Reddy writes many of her own songs. She also perform other composer's works. And to each songs, she adds an extra dimension." Robert Wagner, 1972

Television live performances of Helen Reddy tend to circulate more, but seldom concert footages where she performs with backing musicians independent of television shows. In ths video you will see segments selected from a 1972 Hallmark TV special “LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!” and colour corrected. (Mac Davis and Bread are omitted) The original soundtrack is kept for posterity.

1. I Don't Know How To Love Him (actual live performance + dubbed studio track)
2. New Year's Resovolution (sic) (segment and a split second of Reddy performing from the backstage view!)
3. Crazy Love (two lovers segment. An interesting montage, but different strokes for different folks.)
4. I Believe in Music (ending credit I omitted the other half where it has the kids leaving the Troubadour outside.)
