Today we begin a multipart series on the basics of helicopter flight. We're in the Bell 407 which I've never flown in real life, but is very similar to most other helicopters.

We will start out simple and eventually use advanced features from MSFS to show how air flows through the rotor system! What a time to be alive! It's normally very difficult to conceptualize helicopter aerodynamics without the aid of 3D models showing exactly what is happening in real time. Enjoy!
