It's been 7 months since I've done one of these update videos, and I've had a few requests for one, so I figured it was time. Consider this my Xmas present to all of you after posting relatively little train content recently.

It's been a hectic holiday season at work, and I've been deep into R/C stuff recently, so I haven't had much time to make train videos. However, I have some cool projects lined up for the new year, so stay tuned!

I spent about an hour recreating the sound from that Back to the Future scene using publicdomain sound effects to avoid a copyright claim (and also to make the music transition seamlessly into the guitar note). Hope it was worth it. The amount of effort I will go to for a brief Back to the Future joke is frankly concerning.

Speaking of music, you may notice some fresh background music in this video that isn't from the YouTube Audio Library. I'm doing a free trial of Epidemic Sound, a subscription service for highquality royaltyfree music, to see if I like it. So far it's pretty good, but I'm not sure yet whether I'm going to continue with a full subscription.
