Well, these were some wild moments, involving two fish and all four members of this wonderful osprey family! What a way to start their day!

We see it all began, early morn last Friday, just after 7a.. Antali is overcome w/his excitement and hunger bec Daddy's coming! He flees from their perch and heads to the nest. Antali's so wound up, he almost falls over on the edge of their nest! =D

Finn gifts Antali w/a nice chunk of partial fish, then he stands on their nest for a bit, looking around. (They will always grab any nestovers that may have been overlooked.) Antali wrangles his fish about, trying to get it to the place he wants it. He then begins to hungrily tear into that fish.

Less than two minutes after Finn had left, whoa! here comes Iris w/a small live fish gift, grasped by both her feet. Antali then resumed his mantling over his fish. Iris notices Antali already has a fish, she does her tender vocalizations and works to reposition her fish for a one foot grasp.

Iris takes off and at just about the same exact moment in flies Sumeh on the opposite side of the nest! Whoa! It's a family affair for sure! Sumeh lands on the rails, right in front of Antali, who was on a rail himself. He turns, lunges forward, falls into nest middle area, protecting his fish. Just as quickly as he did that he rises up, turns and lunges towards sister, winging her right off their nest! Whoa.

Clearly all wound up from the action, Antali savagely bit at his fish and then would stop, vocalize loudly as if to say: "AND STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!" He did that a few times, until finally satisfied the coast was clear, he began to enjoy his fish, bless him.

Good job kiddo! You've come SO far and we're proud of you!
