Community Legal Services of Philadelphia (CLS) and Campaign For Working Families, Inc. provided this training for service providers and advocates on helping lowincome individuals and families get connected to the tax system so that they can receive their stimulus payments.

During the pandemic, the IRS has sent three stimulus payments totaling $3,200, but many individuals who qualify have not received this money. CLS is encouraging people who do not normally file their taxes, due to lowincome or because they don’t have earnings, to file their taxes by May 17, 2021. Filing taxes now will also help low income families, even families with no earnings, access the expanded Child Tax Credit.
