Hemorrhagic Disease vs. CWD What is the difference between these deer diseases?
Hemorrhagic Disease is a sometimesfatal, naturally occurring virual disease spread by biting flies, and we typically see largescale outbreaks every 510 years. By contrast, Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is always fatal to deer and elk, but has NOT been found in Kentucky.
