This is an explanation video about the internal workings of my modified Heng Long King Tiger. I added a barrel recoil, flash and smoke function as well as some other modifications.

I do not have any direct links to the upgrades that I used for this tank. It seems Heng Long is often changing their products. Also you can use aftermarket (nonHeng Long parts)
Basically, what you need to make the barrel recoil, flash and smoke work is:
Heng Long 7.1 (or the older 6.1) MFU, as long as it has servo motor support
Barrel smoke and flash control board. This normally included a LED for the muzzle flash
An smoke generator pot and air pump motor
Heng Long aluminum recoil bracket for the barrel movement
To make the barrel up and down movement work with a servo you also need a second servo motor
