Henry Cavill is no longer going to be cast as Superman in the DCU going forward. James Gunn and Peter Safran have spoken with Henry Cavill and informed him that he will no longer be playing Superman in the DC Universe.
That being said, Henry Cavill could very likely make an appearance as Superman in a future multiverse movie. So there is a possibility that Henry Cavill will not leave DC Studios forever.
