So I had been wanting to do a campnhike out in the Blue Valley area of NC. Blue Valley Rd enters the area and becomes a forest road before entering the Blue Valley Experimental Forest, which lies at the base of a long ridge that runs from west of Osage Overlook over into Highlands, NC. You may recall my Hurrah Ridge and West Fork snow hike awhile back. Well Hurrah Ridge Trail terminates at the end of this FS road. While checking out the area and the campsites it has to offer I thought I'd also have a look at Picklesimer Falls! Also known as Pickelsimer Rockhouse Falls, for reasons that are obvious when you see it.
