In this episode I provide the history of the Mercury Capri, which was sold in the United States between 1970 and 1994, however it was three different cars during that period. From 1970 through 1978 it was an import from Europe, where it sold as the Ford Capri, but in America it was just the Capri, without the Mercury make, despite being sold at Mercury dealers. In 1979 it switched to being a rebadged Ford Mustang, where it had several specialty versions, including two models from ASC McLaren. That version ended in 1986, but was later followed in 1991 as an import from Australia, but only as a 2+2 convertible, sharing a drivetrain with the Mazda 323. That version was the lowest selling, with it ending by 1994.
