The video addresses herpes infection, clarifying doubts about the transmission, symptoms, and treatment of the three main variations: genital herpes, zoster, and oral herpes. Genital herpes, usually caused by herpes simplex virus type 2, is sexually transmitted and manifests as blistering and painful lesions. Treatment involves antivirals to reduce symptoms and recurrences. Zoster, caused by the varicellazoster virus, is reactivated from chickenpox and causes painful skin eruptions, treatable with antivirals and analgesics. Oral herpes, caused by herpes simplex virus type 1, results in painful mouth lesions and is transmitted through direct contact. Prevention includes the use of vaccines and stress reduction.
