if you've never heard of em, listen to the texas tornados. a gifted group of four musicians who capture the heart and soul of south texas in their music, a combination of rock, country, tejano, conjunto, and that 1950s feeling featuring Mr. augie meyers, gone but never forgotten Doug sahm, the one and only Flaco jimenez on the accordian, and the late great mr Freddie Fender. these boys are texas to the bone, if you choose to check em out the live in Austin tx is a great start.
