I've always enjoyed using multiple exercise methods to create a broader training stimulus. Limiting yourself in your training may seem to simplify things, but it can also hold you back.

But you don't want to add methods just to add more work to your program. Sometimes, adding more exercises and methods creates redundancy that costs you time and effort without adding much value to your workouts.

The key is to ask yourself what sort of stimulus you're creating with the additional work that's different from what you were doing before. If your muscles are fundamentally doing the same thing in both cases, you're working twice as hard for the same outcome. However, if your muscles are performing differently, then the extra work may be adding some worthwhile value.
