The US has placed its assault ship, the USS Wasp, off the coast of Lebanon, as it positions warships in an attempt to prevent a fullscale war between Hezbollah and Israel. The wasp is capable of assisting in the evacuation of civilians, if that becomes necessary, as the situation intensifies. Hezbollah continues to intensify its attacks on northern Israel, which began one day after the attack by Hamas on Israel. The terror group has said it is holding back its “most devastating weapons,” but has not provided specifics.
