hi, october, happy birthday!

my favorite month of the year is here again and since I wrote 'goodbye, october' (you can listen to it here    • Meng Qi Wingie 2 | goodbye, october  ) a couple years back, i thought it was only right, that i somehow find a way to say hi. thirtyone glorious days ahead of what is usually the best time of the year–but day one, will always be special.

i've rediscovered my love for the op1 and the ‪@MengQiMusic‬ Wingie 2, not that my love for them had diminished in anyway but writing this piece made me find a deeper appreciation for how they allow me to express myself creatively. i'd also forgotten that the Yamaha Reface CP was so much fun to play. i doubled the sound with a celeste from my laptop offscreen. also offscreen is the ‪@HologramElectronics‬ microcosm along with a baby's rattle with bells a serendipitous find in a toy shop in Bengaluru, India.
