First time back in the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 (DH8D) since December 2022 operating Air Iceland Connect flight 300 from Reykjavik, Iceland to Vagar, Faroe Islands (Denmark).

Was nice to know I still knew my way around the aircraft. Did take a minute or two to get back in the saddle.

This short highlight is when we're at 4,000ft about to overfly the Vagar NDB and join the 147° Radial from the NDB for about 13.0nm before we make a left hand turn and join the ILS Z RWY 30 at Vagar.

We were warned that the Southwesterly Winds are notorious for destabilizing approaches here in Vagar but we were lucky to catch a break on the first attempt and make a very, very smooth landing. However, we'll let you be the judge of that.
