The PGA TOUR heads to Las Vegas this week for the Shriners Children's Open at TPC Summerlin. Tom Kim returns to defend his title and looks to make PGA TOUR history in the desert. No player has won the same event three times in a row since Steve Stricker at the John Deere Classic from 200911 and Kim is looking to do just that. The Korean has had an inconsistent season so far with only three top10s but played well to claim solo second at the Travelers Championship in June and eighth at the Olympics two months ago. Matt McCarty will also be in Las Vegas after being victorious last week at the Black Desert Championship in his third PGA TOUR start and has won four times across the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR in his last 10 starts. Taylor Pendrith will also like his chances after compiling a 230 record for the International Team at the Presidents Cup three weeks ago. He’s also claimed six top10s this season including victory at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in May. Others to look out for are Stephan Jaeger, Lucas Glover and Adam Hadwin.
