When thruhiking the CDT, it is close to impossible to hit every location during the ideal season. We hiked into Colorado's San Juan Mountain Range in early to mid June, which meant the trail in some places was still covered in snow from last winter. Snow makes the Continental Divide Trail challenging, but it also means amazing views! These are our strategies for staying safe and warm while hiking in the snow. #Shorts
