If you're looking for a fun backpacking trail for beginners near Bryson City, look no further. This was a 13 mile hike that had gradual inclines for most of the hike while still offering some challenging sections towards the middle of the loop.


On this hike, my younger sister and two friends joined me on a onenight backpacking trip through ideal spring conditions in the Smoky Mountains. This trail crossed Deep Creek and Indian Creek multiple times, each crossing had bridges. This was my sister's first time backpacking, and she absolutely loved this beginner friendly hiking trail near Bryson City.
