My solo day hike to Mt Adams in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Mt Adams counts for both the New Hampshire 48 4000 Footer (NH48) and the steeper portion and “knife edge” ridge of the Air Line Trail counts as an elective for The Terrifying 25 (T25) hiking list. The New Hampshire 48 4000 Footer list, created by the Appalachian Mountain Club, consists of 48 mountains in New Hampshire with elevations of at least 4,000 feet and a minimum of 200 feet prominence. The Terrifying 25 list, created by Trish, Alex, and Sage Herr, consists of the most interesting White Mountains trails that have slides, rock scrambles, or boulder caves.
