Video of our hike up to Cobalt Lake on Vancouver Island. Our intention was to hike up to 5040 peak, but even in July the trail was snow covered at the lake and without proper footwear it was impossible to continue to the top of 5040 peak. Filmed on GoPro, this was one of the toughest hikes I have done so far. The drive to the hike was also quite long on rough roads, given that we only had a Rav4.
