An intense 4.3 mile hike to Virgin Falls in Middle Tennessee, covers an area of 1,157acres located in White County. The natural area is named for Virgin Falls, which is formed by an underground stream that emerges from a cave, then drops over a 110foot high cliff before disappearing into another cave at the bottom of the sink. My mind was blown by the amount of water that just appears and disappears as you traverse the area.

The almost 9 mile roundtrip hike took us just about 5 hours, and that was with some exploring off the main trail. They do allow dogs and have some awesome camping sites available.
