Part 1 – You Are in a Safe Place – focuses on a young boy, Ajay, and his arrival at one of the centres run for the rehabilitation and safety of children who have been rescued from child labour and other circumstances of exploitation. The film is intended to be shown to children who have recently been rescued themselves, and aims to reassure viewers that like Ajay they are in a safe place, have been rescued, and have done nothing wrong.



Medical Aid Films are proud to have partnered with the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to support their work with children rescued from forced labour, trafficking and other forms of exploitation.

Together we’ve created the “A Brighter Future” series: four animated films that will be featured in the rehabilitation of children at centres run by the Foundation’s partners, helping them make positive steps towards the future. The animations focus on former childlabourers, Ajay and Priya, and feature important messages around overcoming past trauma, rediscovering childhood, learning to play with others, selfcare, equality and the importance of education as one of the most fundamental tools in breaking cycles of exploitation.
