HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) nicknamed MOAS, the "Mother of All Surgeries" is an extensive surgery and procedure used to treat cancers that have spread in the abdominal cavity. I talked with Kayla about her diagnosis, the beginning of treatment, when HIPEC became a part of the conversation, what it was like having HIPEC, and how recovery went.
