Neoclassicism is a very interesting page of Art History. It is a style that emerges as a reaction of the bourgeoisie to the Baroque and Rococo, representatives of absolutism, aristocracy, luxury and eccentricity. It emerges after the French Revolution on July 14, 1789. Powerful and virile neoclassicism fills all spaces of the new regime and spreads throughout the world as a style appropriate to politics and power. In Brazil he arrives with the French Mission in 1816 under the command of Joachim Lebreton.
