Imagine how fun Pakistan Studies would be if we were taught the complete history of the Indus Valley? Beginning from the period when our early humans ancestors first arrived in Soan and Riwat some 1.9 million years ago, to the birth of the great Harappan Civilization rivaling Egypt and Mesopotamia, to the multitude of kingdoms and empires which all ruled over this territory. Pakistan as a political entity is indeed only 70 years old, but it encompases the territory of the Indus Valley, which has a history spanning almost 9000 years. It's this unique Indus culture and history of ours that actually unites our various ethnic, linguistic and religious backgrounds.
