This is the series in which I talk through my experiences and anecdotes from serving as an elder on the Jehovah's Witnesses Hospital Liaison Committee (HLC). The HLC is the organisational structure that the Jehovah's Witnesses Governing Body uses to police ordinary Jehovah's Witnesses' adherence to the prohibition of the use of blood for medical purposes.

In this episode I discuss the process of my recruitment onto the HLC and the elevated status it gave me in the local Jehovah's Witnesses community.
