In June 2021, the leading vessels of the Royal Navy, the HMS Queen Elizabeth, and the French Navy, the Charles de Gaulle, were spotted in a notable maritime convergence in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. This strategic meeting marked the commencement of Exercise Gallic Strike, a comprehensive threeday collaborative training program. These exercises involve a range of scenarios, including war games and simulated seatoland attacks, and feature the deployment of 15 naval vessels and 57 combat aircraft.
