HO Scale CSX Freight Trains of the 1990s

CSX Transportation was formed through a merger between the Seaboard System and Chessie System railroads, which each came from their own lineages of wellknown railroad predecessors. CSX's paint scheme started as a simple grey and blue, then became all grey, later with a yellow nose added. By the mid 1990s, A yellow, blue, and grey paint scheme (known as YN2 or Yellow Nose 2) had become the standard, but echoes of the older paint schemes lingered on. Let's turn the clock back to the late 1990s and see what you could find on CSX rails during those years. Filmed on the Western North Carolina Railroad, Club Layout of the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders; Vienna, Virginia.
